A local man was injured and had to be air lifted following a three-car accident in Breckenridge.
Braxton Pierce, 17, was injured when his maroon-colored Ford Ranger was slowing down behind a black Infiniti, driven by Sandra Medina-Palacios, 24, in the 300 block of W. Walker.
As Medina-Palacios was attempting to make a left turn on McAmis Ave., Pierce slowed down and then was struck from behind by a tan-colored Chevy pickup driven by Chaz Lee, 18. Pierce suffered injuries in the accident and was transported to Stephens Memorial Hospital by Stephens County Emergency Medical Services.
He was later lifted by Air Evac air ambulance to Parkland Hospital in Dallas with facial injuries and lacerations.
Pierce was back at home and was scheduled to return to his normal duties, said Lisa Pierce in a phone conversation Tuesday.
Gaylon's Body Shop removed Medina-Palacios' vehicle from the scene.
All three individuals were wearing seat belts in their vehicles at the time of the accident.
Breckenridge Police Department officer John Longoria was the investgating officer.
Breckenridge Fire Department personnel also assisted with the accident.
