A city of about 5,700 people held its collective breath around noon Monday after a mild explosion at Chemplex, LTD  in Breckenridge. No one was injured in the explosion and all 15 of the location's employees were accounted for shortly after 11:45 a.m. at the oilfield chemical plant, located on FM 576, off Highway 183 in Stephens County. The cause of the explosion remains unknown, although it is believed that employees were transferring liquids from one container to another. No structures were involved in the fire, although the company did lose a forklift.
