The Texas High School Rodeo Finals wrapped up their week long stay in Abilene on Saturday, June 15. Among the competitors in the various events of bareback riding, steer wrestling, calf roping, barrel racing and goat tying. Breckenridge senior Clay Boaz made it to the Saturday final event of the team roping after two good rounds earlier in the week. Boaz and his roping partner Trinity Haggard, a senior at Throckmorton, qualified for the Saturday final go-around with a chance to advance to the national finals in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
