Scoring came difficult at the Greenbelt Bowl All-Star Football Game which was held Saturday, June 15, at Fair Park Stadium in Childress. A third-quarter touchdown pass from former Buckaroo Pedro Ramirez to Austin Trinklein, of Pilot Point, was the only score in the game. The South squad, featuring Ramirez as quarterback and former Buckaroo Lane Morris on defense, won the defensive battle 7-0 over the North. Ramirez connected with Trinklein for a 27-yard score with 41 seconds remaining in the third quarter. Ramirez completed nine of 16 passes for 141 yards. He was named MVP and received a $1000 scholarship. For the rest of the story, see the Wednesday, June 19 edition.
