The Stephens County Commissioners made a change in law enforcement and public records research at their regular meeting Monday at the Stephens County Courthouse.
The group elected to sign a 36-month contract with LexisNexis. The current contract with Westlaw is set to expire in December.
LexisNexis will start its contract in December but will use the months of October and November to provide training. The switch will save the county $3,600 annually.
In other business, the group awarded a bid in the amount of $1,671 to James Jackson for a Broc Broom. A bid for $150 was awarded to Will Harper for a Blue Max air compressor. No bids were received on removing a house at 607 S. Rose Ave. A bid call will be resubmitted and opened at the July 8 meeting.
