Patton Elizabeth Andrews Ashcroft, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many, died peacefully on July 4, 2013, in Las Vegas, Nev.
A small service was arranged on Friday, July 12, at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas, Nev. All flowers and correspondence can be forwarded to her son, Robin Ashcroft at 708 Rittiman Road, San Antonio, TX 78209.
The employees of the Golden Nugget hosted a memorial on Monday, July 15, in Las Vegas, Nev.
She was born in Breckenridge, on March 13, 1933, to Arthur “Happy” Andrews and Maurine Rickard Andrews.
She attended Breckenridge High School, and Southern Methodist University, later married, moved and lived in McAllen, until 1973 when she moved to Houston.
In 1998, she decided to move to Las Vegas where the Golden Nugget welcomed her into their family and she enjoyed many years as a host until she retired in 2002.
She was a wonderful woman who with her Texas friendly charm and finesse, won over many co-workers and casino clients who stretched the world.
She was dearly loved by her family and friends, and will be greatly missed by her family, friends, co-workers and all who she had a chance to touch.
Besides being a loving, devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, she had a fondness for the Dallas Cowboys, Patsy Cline, good chocolate, wine and her cats.
She will be remembered by all for her kindness, compassion, wonderful personality, charm and wit.


She was preceded in death by her brother Buddy Andrews.
She is survived by her son, Robin Ashcroft and wife Aida, daughter, Angela Ashcroft, cousin, Mary Sorrell, sister-in-law, Missy Andrews, grandchildren: Matthew Ashcroft, Genevieve Prukop, Damien Prukop, Fabian Prukop and Julia McGarity, great grandchildren, Austin Ashcroft, Deziray Prukop, Maia McGarity, Adrienne McGarity, Alex Prukop, Amcena Prukop and Zeyda Prukop.
Her family wishes to thank everyone for the compassion and kindness shown to her from all of those who knew her.
