Lee Anna (Chalk) Whitten, age 65, after a lengthy battle with cancer, was called home Monday, Sept. 16, 2013 in Stephenville.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at the First Baptist Church in Rising Star, with Sue Skidmore officiating.
Burial will follow in the Blake Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 20, prior to the service.
She was born on Jan. 18, 1948, in Gorman to Donald and Berna Lee (Chick) Chalk.
She was an Educator and taught school in Breckenridge, where she also attended The Peoples Church. Lee Anna was a concert pianist. She quilted, was an accomplished poet and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Lee Anna is survived by her daughter, Davanna Whitten of Stephenville; son, Don Whitten and fiancé Cristy Ogle of Stephenville; sisters: Paula Carpenter of Rising Star and Wanda King of New Ulm; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Donna Priest.
