James Glenn, age 79, & Elaine Glenn, age 75, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 21st at First Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Harpersville Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.
James Melvin Glenn was born August 18, 1934 to parents, Melvin Glenn & Mary Marie McBride Glenn in Breckenridge, Texas. Katheryn Elaine Keith was born January 22, 1938 to parents, Cecil Claude Keith, Sr. & Minnie Belle Johnson Keith. They both grew up in Breckenridge and later graduated from Breckenridge High School. They were married November 16, 1958 in Breckenridge. The Glenn's made their home in Breckenridge until they moved to Eastland in 1963. They later moved back home to Breckenridge in 1992. Mr. Glenn worked for Texas Electric until he retired in 1992. Mrs. Glenn worked at Eastland National Bank until she retired in 1990. Mr. & Mrs. Glenn were very active members at First Baptist Church. Mrs. Glenn taught Sunday school, volunteered for Vacation Bible School, helped out with many youth activities, was a breast cancer survivor & also a member of the Stephens Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Mr. Glenn was also an active member at First Baptist Church. He enjoyed working at the family farm at Midway, loved working with anything that was mechanical, woodworking, and volunteered for numerous community projects. Mrs. Glenn was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Alfred Keith, Dale Keith & Cecil Claude Keith, Jr. Mr. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Delores Mehaffey.
Mr. & Mrs. Glenn are survived by their three children, Karen Gregg & husband Bill of Graham, Cecelia Glenn of Dallas, Kevin Glenn of Fort Worth; Mrs. Glenn's two brothers, Marion Keith & wife Shirley of Breckenridge, Kenneth Keith & wife Cindy of Oklahoma; Mrs. Glenn's one sister, Gwenna Lee Evans & husband Benny of Weatherford; Mr. Glenn's one brother, Michael Glenn & wife Cheryl of Mineral Wells; Mr. Glenn's two sisters, Nancy Glenn of Allen, Nelda Tosh & husband Marty of Houston; their one grandchild, Maci Gregg, and numerous nieces & nephews.
