Even though the team did not advance to the state meet, Breckenridge standout junior Anthony Ramirez placed 10th in the meet to advance for the second straight year.
Head Cross Country coach Kim Dieterich said that she was proud of Ramirez for advancing to the state meet.
“Congratulations to Anthony for making it to the state cross country meet for second year,” said Dieterich. “I am very proud of this accomplishment for him. He had to run 10 seconds faster this year to earn a spot in the state meet.”
Ramirez said that a little bit of uncertainty unfolded while waiting for the official results.
“We weren’t sure if I made it or not at first because we thought that I was 11th so I was worried at first,” said Ramirez.
