The Breckenridge Library calendar contains some great programs for the months of May, June and July. Please put these events on your calendars.
There is a book signing set for 1 p.m. Thursday, May 22, for Shelly Sharp who will present her second book, Social Lies, for a book signing.
The books can be purchased for a cost of $20 at the event. This is Shelly's second book, which was titled, 4 Life.  Readers will find her second book every bit as good as her first one. If you have any doubts about the dangers of online dating and online predators, you won't have them after you read this novel.
The first event is a one-day book sale from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday June, 2. This is a one-day event with special pricing. All hardback books will be six for $5 and paperbacks will be sold by the bag only. After Monday, June 2, the prices will return to regular pricing.
Story Time for children ages 5-12 is set from 2 to 2:45 p.m. Monday, June 9, with Lisa Echols reading to the children. Story-Time will continue every Monday through July 14, with a different reader at each session. Take-home activities and goodies will be given to children at the end of each session.
Another book signing will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, June 9, with Eunice J. Filler presenting her book Rachael: Porch Swings and Spearmint Tea.  The book can be purchased at the book signing and personalized by the author. Filler is a former resident of Breckenridge and graduated from Breckenridge High School. Her novel records the stories that her granny told her when she was a child.
The stories encompass four generations of her family. The book is entertaining and the author is equally entertaining and a joy to meet.
Monday, June 23rd, will find the nationally recognized story teller, Elizabeth Ellis at the Breckenridge Library for three different sessions.  Ms. Ellison is an American Masterpiece Touring Artist recognized by the NEA.
She will be working with preschool children and parents at 10 a.m. Monday, June 23 and will return at 2 p.m. to tell stories to the school age children during the regular Story Time.
Later that day, at 6 p.m., Ms. Ellis will again present her special brand of storytelling to adults.  All of these events will be held at the Breckenridge Library.
At 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, the Ringling Brothers Clowns Kelly and Becky will be entertaining the children and parents. The clowns will perform and will read a book to the children.
Since the clowns are on a tight schedule, only group pictures with them will be made following their performance.
