The Missoula Children's Theatre, the nations largest touring theatre based in Missoula, Mo., will be coming to Breckenridge this summer the week of July 7-12.
All MCT shows are original adaptations of classic children's stories and fairy tales. MCT will be bringing the show “Robin Hood” to the National Theatre.
Missoula's Tour Team arrives with a set, lights, costumes, props, make-up and everything it takes to put on a play – except the actors and actresses!
The Missoula Team will hold open auditions and cast 50-60 local students to perform in the production.
The show is designed for children entering first through 12th grade. There are roles especially suited for all ages, skill levels, and experience levels. The show is rehearsed throughout the week, and two public performances will be presented on Saturday, July 12.
Also included in the touring program will be three enrichment workshops presented by the Tour Actor/Directors. Creativity, social skills, goal achievement, communication skills and self esteem are all characteristics that are attained through the participation in this unique, educational project.
So, all you actors and actresses out there, mark your calendars now for this fun and educational week of theatre and performing arts. Everyone is welcome!
