The Breckenridge ISD School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) will be set up for “Fill the Bus” school supply drive from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at Wal-Mart Breckenridge. The SHAC group will be soliciting donations of school supplies and money to purchase school supplies for students in need in Breckenridge ISD. The goal of the SHAC group is to provide a full bag of supplies for every student who needs it. This benefits not only the students and their families, but the teachers and counselors as well. School supplies needed most this upcoming year are:
Three-inch, two-inch and 11/2-inch binders, wide notebook paper, wide spiral notebooks, composition notebooks, Folders (with or without brads), pencils, glue sticks, black, blue and red pens, highlighters, markers, watercolors, pink erasers, pencil cap erasers, pencil sharpeners, dry erase markers, subject dividers, 3x5 index cards, construction paper, manila paper, white poster boards, pencil bags, pencil boxes, quart, gallon and snack Ziploc bags, Kleenex, baby wipes, Clorox wipes and Germ-X.
Donation boxes are currently out at First Baptist Church, Bethany Baptist Church, First Christian Church, New Life Restoration Church, The Lighthouse Church, First United Methodist Church, ABC Printing and Office Supply, Security Finance, Walmart and Party Planet.
