Bobby D. Turner, age 81, a Breckenridge resident, died Friday, April 26, 2013. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, April 29th at First Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Martin officiating. Visitation will follow in the Family Life Center. Services have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.
Bobby Dwain Turner was born March 7, 1932 in May, Texas. He moved to Breckenridge with his parents in 1938 and graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1950. After graduation he attended Sul Ross State University. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He married Maurice Kail on September 5, 1955 in Odessa, Texas. In 1974, he started Turner Seed Company.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Van Loran Turner and Amy Orelle Chambers Turner. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Maurice Turner; one son, Darcy Turner and wife Jacque of Breckenridge; two daughters, Kailyn Tedford and husband Robbie of Farmersville and Julie Calkins and husband Craig of Breckenridge; granddaughter, Amy Feagin and husband Curt of Melissa, granddaughter - Kristy Cannon and husband James of McKinney, grandson - Luke Turner and Alyssa Morine of Dallas, grandson - Blaine Vick of Dublin, grandsons - Blair Vick and Nathan Turner of Breckenridge, granddaughter - Caroline Turner of Breckenridge, great granddaughter - Rylee Kay Feagin and great grandson - Cole Feagin of Melissa.
