Ida Mae Bellah, age 85, of Lewisville, passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, in Highland Village.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. today, Sept. 28, at First Christian Church in Woodson. Interment will follow at Woodson Cemetery.
She was born Nov. 11, 1927 in Throckmorton County to Roy and Mattie Forrest. Ida married the love of her life Jack H. Bellah on Feb. 13, 1947. Married for 23 years, Jack preceded her in death on Nov. 8, 1969.
Ida was the youngest of six children all of whom preceded her in death. 
Ida thoroughly embraced life, enjoying everyday and brightening the lives of everyone she met.
Ida's ever contagious smile, caring presence,  and generous spirit enhanced the lives of the  people around her.
Ida's heart and home were filled with love, laughter and delicious food.
Ida was happiest when surrounded by her dogs, family and friends who looked forward to hearing one of her many great stories.
Ida retired from Texas New Mexico Power Company in 1992 after 24 years of service.
She was a devout Christian and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
In the last few years of her life, Ida resided at Rambling Oaks Courtyard Assisted Living Facility where she made many friends and touched many lives.
Ida is survived by her daughter, Patti Lynn Bellah; granddogs, Lulu and Annie; a large extended family; and many cherished friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to any charity of their choice.
