Otilia Gallegos, age 80 of Breckenridge, passed away Monday, Sept. 30, 2013 at Hendrick Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., today, Oct. 2, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Fernando Preciado officiating.
Interment will follow in the Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.
Otilia Gomez was born Nov. 25, 1932 to parents, Gilberto Gomez and Manuela Deras Gomez in San Francisco Del Mezquital, Durango, Mexico. She married Pedro Gallegos in June of 1957 in San Francisco Del Mezquital, Durango, Mexico.
She was a housewife and was the oldest of her nine sisters.
The Gallegos' moved to Breckenridge in July 1980 and she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Jose Gallegos.
Mrs. Gallegos is survived by her husband of 56 years, Pedro Gallegos of Breckenridge; four sons: Pedro Gallegos, Jr. and wife Lydia of Wauchula, Fla., Rigoberto Gallegos of Breckenridge, German Gallegos and wife Beatrize of Breckenridge, Gilbert Gallegos and wife Enriqueta of Madill, Okla.; four daughters: Maria Arce and husband Raymundo of Mexico, Norma Rodriguez and husband Issac of Hurdle Mill, N.C., Socorro Palacios and husband Jesus of Breckenridge, Maria Herrera and husband Fidel of Graham, and Valarie Gallegos and Dustin Carr; nine sisters; 27 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
