Breckenridge-Bessie Mae Burnett, 89, died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at her residence. Memorial service with Rev. Rex Boggs officiating will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 19, 2014 in the Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Arrangements are under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral home.
Bessie Mae Faulkenberry was born on April 13, 1924 in Hereford, Texas to Ira Earnest Faulkenberry and Mabel Odom Faulkenberry. She was a seamstress and a member of the People's Church.
Survivors include daughters, Vickie Diane Jackson of Breckenridge, Nita Mae Lyon of Eastland, and Gloria Jean Moss of Oklahoma; sons, Gary Michael Burnett  of Abilene and Melvin Douglas Carnley of California; sisters, Jenny Church of Weatherford, Wanda Threet of Aurora, Texas, and Halley Stovall of Tyler; brothers, Lee Faulkenberry of Adell, Texas and Chesley Faulkenberry of Brock; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Wade Burnett and a great-grandson, Markus Isaiah.
