Aaron Eric Petree, 34, of Gorman, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at the scene of a motor vehicle accident in Killdeer, N.D, where he had been employed as a welder. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at the Bride of Christ Church on N. Ector Street in Gorman (next to the Gorman cemetery) with Pastor Lee Hail officiating.
Aaron was born Oct. 25, 1979, in Temple, to John Layton and Betty Faye Regian Petree. He was a 1999 graduate of Gorman High School where he played football. Aaron spent the last 15 years working as a welder in various states in the U.S.
Aaron is preceded in death by his father, John Layton Petree and his brother, Paul Petree.
Aaron is survived by his mother, Betty Faye Regian Petree of Stephenville; grandmother, Betty Lou Regian of Gorman; two nephews: Kaiden Erick Petree and Anthony Bryce Petree both of Cross Plains; three nieces: Brooklyn Nicole Fitzgerald, Jersey Lane Petree and Caitlyn DeShay Petree all of Lafayette, Tenn.; two brothers: Gary and Lesley; two sisters: Debbie and Sherry; three aunts; one maternal uncle; one paternal uncle; several cousins; and many friends that love and will miss Aaron.
