Jesse Frank Taylor, age 83, of Cross Plains passed away on Monday, Aug. 11, 2014 in Eastland.
Graveside services were Thursday, Aug. 14, in the Pioneer Cemetery with Walter Pope officiating.
Frank was born on July 12, 1931, to Jesse and Rose (Decker) Taylor in Knox City.
He owned a Pulling Unit and was extremely knowledgeable about all phases of oil field work.
He married Frances L. Grider on Feb. 5, 1953 in Abilene.
He was preceded in death by his wife Frances of 59 years.
Survivors include sons: Bobby Taylor and wife Candi of Eastland and Charlie Taylor and wife Lynda of Andrews. He also leaves behind grandsons: Caleb and Lucas Taylor, and granddaughters: Emily Grenko and Chelsey Taylor of Breckenridge and Cady Pena of Miles; five great-grandchildren; brother, Pat Parker of Denton; three sisters: June Gire of Denton, Margaret Hutsell of Missouri and Glenda Cone of Smithson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cross Plains EMS or the Cross Plains Fire Department.
