The Woodson Cowboys are gearing up to start the 2013 season.
The Cowboys will have a new coach this season as Bobby Lankford comes in from El Paso to take over.
Lankford brings 12 years of coaching experience, but Woodson is his first stop at the six man level and his first head coaching job.
“I have coached at the 2A, 3A and 5A levels, but never at the six man level,” said Lankford. “This will definitely be a learning experience for me as much as it is with the kids. I was head coach at the middle school level, but was assistant coach at the high school level."
