The Lady Bucks rebounded from a tough loss to eventual tournament champions, Strawn, Saturday evening with a convincing 56-31 win over the Merkel Lady Badgers to claim third place in the Lions Club Tournament.
Lady Bucks head coach Ky Graham was pleased with the overall effort that the team put forth in the tournament.
“I was really proud of the way the girls came out the first day,” said Graham. “They didn’t seem to miss a beat after the Christmas break and played well. The third game against Strawn, we didn’t play as well but Strawn is a good team and you have to give them some credit. We are disappointed we didn’t win the tournament like we know we were capable of doing, but sometimes you do need a reality check that tells you that you still have a lot of work to do.
