The Breckenrige Lady Buckaroos began the second half of District 7-2A play Friday evening in Cisco.
As memory would serve to most, the Lady Bucks used a late rally to overcome a 6-0 lead by Cisco and rally to a 9-8 win in the last meeting between the two schools.
This time it was Cisco who was able to rally as the Lady Bucks fell victim to a 9-5 defeat.
With the loss, the Lady Bucks fell to 4-4 in the district standings and are now tied with Cisco for the fourth and final playoff position prior to Tuesday’s game against the Merkel Lady Badgers.
With the score tied 5-5 heading into the bottom of the sixth inning, the Lobes came away with four runs led by a double by Cisco’s Jenna Koenig.

The Lady Bucks trailed 2-0 after two innings of play, but came back to tie the score at 2-2 in the top of the third inning following singles by Kaitlyn Ellis and Kaylee Roberts.
Cisco regained the lead in the bottom of the third inning with a run following a wild pitch.
Breckenridge battled back to score three runs in the top half of the fourth inning and take the lead at 5-3 following runs from Brook Moss, Shelby Lipps and Emma Davis.
Cisco tied the score at 5-5 with a two-run homerun  in the fifth inning.
Lipps led the Lady Bucks hitting going two-for-three with a double and a single, while Ellis was two-for-three as well with two singles and one RBI.
Taylor Herrington pitched 51/3 innings and allowed nine runs (eight earned) on eight hits and five strikeouts.
Brooke Moss pitched 2/3 innings and had one strikeout.
The Lady Bucks will play Eastland at 5 p.m., Friday, April 4 in Breckenridge.
