Heading into Saturday's final game with the No. 2 state-ranked Hawley Lady Bearcats, the Lady Bucks knew they were in a must win situation.
In the end, it was the Lady Bucks who was handed a season-ending 12-1 loss in five innings.
The Lady Bucks had just two hits in the game with a single by Emma Davis in the second inning and a single in the fifth inning by Karina Cruz. Davis also reached  base on an error in the fourth inning.
Shelby Lipps scored the Lady Bucks only run on an error by Hawley in the fourth innning.
Kaylee Roberts reached base on a two-out error by Hawley in the third inning, but was unable to score.
Taylor Herrington pitched 3-1/3 innings for the Lady Bucks. Herrington allowed 10 runs, (six earned) on nine hits and had two strikeouts.
Brooke Moss pitched 1-2/3 innings and allowed two earned runs on three hits and had two strikeouts.
The Lady Bucks finished the season with an overall record of 10-15.

Bucks vs Hawley
Fresh off a big win over Dublin, the Bucks came up short to Hawley 7-2.
Cruz Martinez was three-for four in the game with three singles and one RBI, while Austin Dooley and Ethan Wimberley each went two-for-four with two singles and scored one run each.
The Bucks scored one run in the sixth inning and one run in the seventh inning.
Martinez pitched 4-1/3 innings and allowed six runs (five earned) on eight hits and had four strikeouts, while Eli McLane pitched 2-2/3 innings and allowed one earned run and had three strikeouts.
The Bucks concluded the season Tuesday evening in Merkel.
