Texas Brigades migrate home to Woodson

Perhaps you have heard of the original “Bobwhite Brigade.” Add to that the Buckskin Brigade, Bass Brigade, Waterfowl Brigade, Coastal Brigade, and finally, the Ranch Brigade, since the inception of the “Texas Brigades” in 1993. These five-day camps that build youth leaders are held across the state of Texas annually from Santa Anna to Galveston.

Colt Nelson, a junior at Woodson HS, attended the Ranch Brigade this summer. After forming their “herd,” he and his team worked together to accomplish the goals of the week.

The life of a classic

Writer’s note: This is not an obituary (a record of someone passing) — instead, this is a record of someone living.

Betty Lou Robinson, born May 16, 1928, in Breckenridge, was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother.

She lived her days surrounded by those who loved her whilst shopping to her heart’s content. Her home was adorned with beauty, that, like her, only grew more beautiful with age.
