Come celebrate Evelyn Perry's birthday

The family of Evelyn Perry would like to invite her friends to help her celebrate her 90th birthday on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018 in the fellowship hall of Bethany Baptist Church from 2 to 4 p.m. Evelyn was born in Hopkins County, TX, Sept. 27, 1928. The oldest of four girls, she was raised on a farm. She graduated from a one room school in Miller Grove in 1946. A little later she went to work for Sears and Roebuck mail order department in Dallas where Herman Harold Perry met his mail order bride who he married March 6,1953. She and Herman were transferred to Bay City Texas where Herman was one of the first servicemen for Sears. While in Bay City Donald and Dwayne were born. The family later moved to Brownwood, Hermans home area, then in 1968, Sears transfered Herman to Breckenridge. Evelyn has been a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Breckenridge since 1968. She has worked for Davis Manufacturing, Walls Industries, Central Texas Opportunity, census bureau, and for Jerry Gibson's Drug Store until eventually retiring. After retiring she helped with the churches food pantry for several years and delivered Meals on Wheels as long as she was able. The honour of your visit will be her present. Thank you from Mr. Donald and Dr. Cynthia Perry, Dwayne, Doug  Steve and Amanda.
