Breckenridge Fire Department has been battling several fires over the past week including several grass fires and a house fire. They warn the community about the fire danger even after rain.

The BFD responded to a house fire at Hubbard Creek Lake around 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23. According to the Breckenridge Fire Department Facebook when crews arrived there was one house was fully engulfed while two other houses were starting to catch fire. Breckenridge Fire Chief, Calvin Chaney said, “There was so much damage, everything was destroyed. It was destroyed when we got there.”
