Local Deputy, wife recovering from house fire
No one is ever prepared to lose everything, but the community support surrounding Bill and Melynda Flournoy has been sincerely appreciated.
The Flournoy's house burned down on Oct. 3 of this year, taking everything that the family had with it. Bill Flournoy is a Stephen’s County Sheriff's Deputy and was home with his wife at the time of the fire.
“Bill is back at work,” said Stephen’s County Sheriff Will Holt, “He came back to work on Monday (Oct. 28). We are super happy to have him back.” Flournoy suffered a medical emergency under the stress of the situation with his house, but according to Holt has been medically cleared to come back to work.
