The Breckenridge Fine Arts Center is opening a new exhibit in the Main Gallery, "History of the Common Man," by Tonya Holmes Shook, from Monday, March 18 through Friday, May 3.

A reception to celebrate the artist was held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 16 and was open to the public.

The artist draws strongly from her own heritage for her paintings and other art. She was born in Oklahoma, grew up in Tucumcari, New Mexico and has lived in Texas most of her adult life. As a result, she claims all three states as her home.
