Saturday, Sept. 22

• The local Cub Scout Pack No. 81 and Boy Scout Troop No. 63 will be helping at the “Hooked On Scouting Team Bass Tournament,” slated for Saturday, Sept. 22 at at the Bob Clark Landing at Hubbard Creek Lake. Check-in time is 5 a.m., with the tournament to begin by 6 a.m. or at safe light. Weigh-in time is set for 2 p.m. and the awards ceremony is set for 3 p.m. Participants can register online at TexasTrailsBSA.com , which has sponsorship levels and entry fee information. Tuesday, Sept. 25

• The Woman’s Forum will have their first gathering at 9 a.m. and will have coffee and snacks. Games will begin at 9:30 a.m.. Lunch will be catered by the Rusty Rooster followed by a program yet to be determined. Yearbooks will be distributed at the event.

Tuesday, Oct. 2

• Breckenridge joins Texas in National Night Out to help promote neighborhood watch. Residents are encouraged to have a night outside with their neighbors and learn who you are around, as well as discuss concerns in the neighborhood. This is the 35th year of National Night Out nationwide.

Thursday - Sunday, Oct. 4-7

• Lakeside Baptist Church, 108 CR 221, host its Fall Revival at 6:30 p.m. each day. Evangelist is Danny Jackson with music by Donald Webster.

Saturday, Nov. 10

• The Stephens County Humane Society is hosting its annual Wags & Whiskers 5k and Furry Fun Run. All proceeds will go to the humane society. The event starts at 8:30 with a staggered racing schedule by age. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome to participate with their human. To be guaranteed a t-shirt, participants must be registered by Oct. 13. The cost is anywhere from $15 to $30 depending on age. Race day registration will be an additional $5.
