Several tools stolen from H&H Garden Center

Wed, 02/06/2019 - 12:00 am

The H&H Garden Center on W. Walker Street had tools stolen last week, with three tools from the center missing, according to officials with the Breckenridge Police Station.

The incident occurred between the evening of Tuesday, Jan. 22 and Wednesday morning, Jan. 23. The building was left by all employees and personnel by 3 p.m., Tuesday, Lt. Bacel Cantrell from the BPD said. When employees arrived at the store Wednesday morning, the door had been opened and three tools were missing, which included an orange Stihl commercial weedeater and two orange Stihl chainsaws, along with their cases. One of those cases was recovered in an alley on the northside of town.

Cantrell added the lock on the building was not cut or destroyed. The department is currently investigating.

“We got a couple suspects in mind and we’re following up on those leads and hope to have something resolved before long,” Cantrell said.

H&H Garden Center’s Owner Connie Kilburn expressed prayers for the thief and said she wanted to thank the police department for their attention to the incident.
