United Fund celebrates 100% for FNB

The United Fund of Stephens County celebrated as the employees at First National Bank once again hit 100% in contributions for the sixth straight year. FNB employees contributed a total of $2,412 in the 2020-21 United Fund Campaign.

The United Fund Board president, Sherry Strickland, announced that they had reached 77% of their goal for 2020-21 with $13,903.79 toward the goal of $18,000 for the year.

Strickland said, “The United Fund appreciated the hard work of FNB employees to contribute 100% for the sixth straight year and hoped this would give other businesses the incentive to donate to the current United Fund campaign.”

The United Fund helps many non-profit organizations in Stephens County such as the Swenson Memorial Museum, the Breckenridge Library, the Breckenridge Fine Arts Center, Meals-on-Wheels, Boy Scout Troop 63, Girl Scout Troop 8356, Little League Baseball, Youth Soccer, Dr. Goodall’s House, The Open Door, Friends of Historic Breckenridge, SHAC (School Health Advisory Committee), Stephens County Child/ Foster Welfare Board, Stephens County Agriculture and Community Center and the Stephens County Humane Society.

Kevin Simmons of FNB, serves on the United Fund Board as the Treasurer and additional members include, Les Strickland, Sharon Wimberley, Sandy Broyles and Jean Hayworth. Other United Fund board members not present for the photo include Wayne and Lynda Justus, Whitney Fulgham, Cassie Griffith, Kathy O’Shields, Gary Trammel and Bo Asher.
