United Fund reaches 80 percent of yearly goal

The United Fund of Breckenridge continues their fundraiser campaign to support local organizations that include Mealson-Wheels, All His Children, Swenson Memorial Museum, Breckenridge Library, Friends of Historic Breckenridge, Breckenridge Fine Arts Center, local Boy Scouts #63/ Cub Scouts #81, local Girl Scouts #8356, The Open Door, Stephens County Child Welfare Board, The SHAC, Dr. Goodall’s House, Stephens County Humane Society, Stephens County Ag and Community Center, Breckenridge Girl’s Softball, Breckenridge Little Kickers and Breckenridge Little League.

The goal this year was set at $17,000 and as of Saturday, Jan. 5, the United Fund board reports that $13,725 has been donated, which now represents 80 percent of the goal set for the 2018-2019 campaign.

Since the last article on the United Fund was published the following donations have come in and include James and Jane Asher, Sandra Bailey with BISD, Baxley Auto Lube and Tire center, Ken Blades, Comanche Electric Cooperative Association, First National Bank, with 100 percent participation for the third year in a row, another donation from Four Points Inc., Helen Haddock, McDonald and Wheatley Enterprises LLC, Sarah Satterwhite and personnel from Stephens County employees that include Bill and Juana Ash, Jackie Ensey, Brenda Mahan and Rhonda Peacock. Additionally, other donations have come in from James Shelton, Strickland Inspections, Tom Thompson, Jon Trammel and another donation from United Supermarkets LLC, Scott Waller/Bar W Electric and Welding. Also, there was a donation from Warehouse Feed.

Officials from the United Fund Board said they appreciate all donations and looks forward to more businesses and individuals stepping forward.
