A work of art
A new exhibit has opened at the Breckenridge Fine Arts Center. The work of Pasty Lindamood is on display in the gallery and showcases her skills. For the next few weeks, the community will be privileged to see her art and view the arraignment of one of Texas’ great artists.
For the past 17 years, Lindamood has crafted award-winning paintings and received recognition from the Pastel and Artistic Magazine’s Annual Art Competition, Artist of Texas Group and numerous others.
She is an award-winning artist out of Huntsville and her list of accomplishments includes membership with the Society of Animal Artist, Artist for Conservation, and Texas and Neighbors.
“I didn’t have any formal training to be an artist but was always creative and unique as a child,” Lindamood said. “When my son was in middle school, I saw someone doing metal sculptures and thought I could do this.”
Lindamood grew up in a suburban area outside Atlanta and relocated to Florida with family.
About 17 years ago, she realized that she could be a professional artist and with her craftiness, she started a new career.
Lindamood says her process starts by taking photos and vetting thousands of pictures until she found the right one. She edits the things that she feels are necessary to her photos and starts her process by doing side by side painting.
