The Rotary Club of Breckenridge provided a check of $1,500 to members of the Stephens Memorial Hospital District to aid the senior meals program. The donation was provided during the weekly, Tuesday, October 27 meeting.
Monday, Nov. 9 - Breckenridge ISD Board of Trustees will meet in a Regular Board meeting on November 9, at 6:30 p.m. The agenda for the Regular Meeting will include a Public Meeting to discuss Breckenridge ISD’s results from the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas.
Breckenridge Independent School District will host a district-wide parent information meeting on identification procedures and program services for the Gifted and Talented program on Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 5 p.m. in the BISD Board Room.
The Woman’s Forum of Breckenridge met for their first gathering of the calendar year on Tuesday, Sept. 22. The program for this first meeting was a Style Show hosted by the Bertie and Olif Shop in downtown Breckenridge.

The City of Breckenridge and Stephens County have announced that, as a cooperative effort, they will be picking up brush with a woodchipper inside the corporate limits of Breckenridge the week of Oct. 19. It will be necessary for the citizens to have brush that they would like chipped and hauled off at curbside by Friday, Oct. 16.

It was established during the latter decades of the 19th century and early part of the 20th century. “As women received the right to vote in some places, they began running for public office and gaining positions as school board members, county clerks, state legislators, judges, and, in the case of Jeannette Rankin, as a Member of Congress.”
