The 2022 Texas A&M Aggie Muster was held Thursday, April 21 at The Popular in Breckenridge. The guest speaker was John A. Adams, Jr., Texas A&M University alumni and author.

Adams graduated in 1973 and is the author of “Sul Ross at Texas A&M”. He presented a glimpse of how Lawrence Sullivan Ross played an integral role in the establishment of the university.

In attendance from Throckmorton County were Kathy Bailes, Ashley Gray, Baylee Gray, Brigette Carruthers, Bryan and Candy Key, Kirby and Melanie Gober, and Orville, Trena and Kelly Lindsey.

Aggie tradition suggests that not only do they gather with a spir it of camaraderie with fellow Aggies, but with the spirit of every Aggie who has lived. Aggie Muster is how that spirit is remembered and celebrated.

In March 1923, Texas Aggies were urged to meet with any Aggies within 100 miles, and to “gather together, eat a little, and live over the days spent at the A&M College of Texas.” Muster is celebrated worldwide and brings together more Aggies than any other event.
