ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID CITY OF BRECKENRIDGE, TEXAS

The City of Breckenridge will receive Sealed Bids for the construction of the Prison Elevated Storage Tank Rehabilitation Project, until 11:00AM local time on Friday, November 9, 2018, at the Breckenridge City Hall, located at 105 N. Rose Ave., Breckenridge, Texas 76424, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The Project consists of performing the Prison Elevated Storage Tank Rehabilitation.

Bids shall be addressed to Bob Sims, Mayor. Bidding Documents and Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, may be examined at:

ABILENE, TEXAS 79601 The Bidding Documents may be obtained from Civcast at www.civcastusa.com. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Engineer’s Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8AM and 5PM, and the City of Breckenridge Office, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8AM and 5PM.

Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Cashier’s Check or Bid Bond, acceptable to the Owner, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a proper Contract and execute Bonds on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. Bid sureties will be returned to all but the three lowest acceptable bidders within five days after the opening of Bids.

The surety company providing the Bid Bond must conform to the same requirements for surety companies providing Performance and Payment Bonds described below.

The successful bidder must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds on the forms furnished with the Contract Documents in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total Contract price, from a surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety. The surety company must have a minimum Best’s Key Rating of “B” or better. The surety company, the agency and agent issuing the Performance and Maintenance Bond and Payment Bond must be authorized to issue such bonds in Texas in an amount equal to or greater than the total contract price.

Said public hearing will be to consider:

PZ 18-03 –Breckenridge Economic Development requests zone change from R-1 –Single Family Dwelling District to R-1-B –Townhouse Dwelling District at 600 W. Wheeler, Brown Addition, Block 5, Lot all in Breckenridge, Texas.

Any and all persons interested in the above referenced item may attend such hearing and will be given an opportunity to be heard.
