Stephens County

Commissioners Court

meets

The Stephens County Commissioners Court met Monday and passed usual business. One of the items discussed involved their employee policy regarding sending non-elected employees to school. According to the court, they have had an issue with sending individuals to school and training, but then have had those employees leave after the training is complete. The court tabled the item to get clarification on the wording, but are going to discuss further how to make sure they are being reimbursed by employees who do leave before they give what the county feels is an adequate amount of time. Other items included treasury reports, and a program from their Texas Department of Information Resources Global Interlocal Contract, which will offer a free evaluation to the court.
