An example of the work of artist Kaye Franklin, who will hold a three-day workshop at BFAC starting Aug. 1.

A workshop by artist Kaye Franklin is set for Aug. 1-3 at the Breckenridge Fine Arts Center.

Franklin began her art career in the early ‘80s. She studied exclusively with Connecticut artist William Henry Earle. She is recognized as a Master Pastellist with the Pastel Society of America, and is a Master Signature Member of American Women Artists and a Signature Member of the Oil Painters of America and American Impressionist Society.

The three-day oil/pastel workshop features a demonstration each morning and participants will be painting still lifes and landscapes with an emphasis on light, mixing colors, value and design.

Classes will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, with a one-hour lunch break. A supply list will be posted as the workshop draws nearer.

To reserve your spot, call the BFAC at 254-559-6602.
