BISD opens registration, sets dates for Buckaroo Bash

With the 2021-2022 school year set to begin Wednesday, Aug. 18, Breckenridge ISD announced via Facebook last Tuesday that online school registration was now open to parents, for all new or returning students. The post also included an announcement of the dates for the upcoming Buckaroo Bash.

“BISD has implemented an online student enrollment process for returning students. To begin the enrollment process, please log in to your Skyward Family Access account. Open the tab “2021-2022 Returning Student”. Required registration forms are available under the tab, and all need to be fully completed in order for registration to be finalized for the 2021-2022 school year,” the post stated.

For parents who are unable to complete the enrollment forms online, in-person registration will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4 and Thursday, Aug. 5 at any of the four BISD campuses. Registration must be completed by Thursday, Aug. 5.

If a student or students will be riding the bus this school year, parents need to fill out the BISD Bus Enrollment Form for each bus rider in their home.

The BISD Household Information Form, available in either English or Spanish, must also be filled out in order for the district to collect information regarding students and families. This form will also aid in district funding purposes, according to the Facebook post.

Buckaroo Bash
BISD will be hosting its annual Buckaroo Bash on two dates this year; 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12 and 2-6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13, in the BHS Auxiliary Gym.

“This event will not be a registration opportunity. Buckaroo Bash is reserved for: picking up student schedules, finding out homeroom teachers, little bucks sign-ups, cheer and football buddies sign-ups, and booster club sign-ups and gear,” the post stated. “... Schedules and/or homeroom teachers will not be changed at Buckaroo Bash.”
