BISD welcomes new Interim Superintendent

He answered Tim Seymore’s call, and now he is the Breckenridge Independent School District interim Superintendent. Earl Jarrett started his position on Tuesday Sept. 3 as the BISD interim Superintendent, replacing Tim Seymore who retired on Aug. 30.

Jarrett has over 30 years of experience in public education, retiring in late 2017. He began his career as a teacher and coach, coaching nearly every sport at some point. During his time as a teacher, he taught science before moving to various school districts around Texas, serving in several roles including assistant principal, principal, and superintendent. Jarrett was the Superintendent in the Spur ISD, outside Lubbock, and Brazos ISD, outside Houston.
