Breckenridge Police Department is looking for the community's help following a series of vandalisms in the city believed to have taken place in the early morning hours of Thursday morning.
BPD Chief Blake Johnson said the department is looking for a group of four younger individuals suspected to be responsible for spray paint damage to several cars, sheds, fences and several other items in the area of West Jeanette St. and North Parks St.
“Right now we’re looking at Ring camera (footage) that shows four individuals,” Johnson said.
The acts are reported to have taken place between 3-5 a.m. Thursday, June 6. Johnson did not release an exact number of locations but said it is believed to be in double digits. Multiple officers responded to calls throughout the morning as the vandalism was discovered and is currently under investigation.
The first call for “delinquent conduct” to BPD came in at 4:43 a.m. and followed throughout the morning with eight similar calls. Calls also came in regarding delinquent conduct and criminal mischief from Shirley Court and West First St.
Johnson said he plans to release further information in the near future. He asks community members with more video footage or other information to contact BPD at 254-559-2211.
