The Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce are accepting nominations for Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year and Agriculture Citizen of the Year. Nominations are due at 5 p.m. and can be mailed to Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce P.O. Box 1466 Breckenridge, TX, 76424. They may also be dropped off at the Chamber of Commerce at 100 E. • First United Methodist Church, located at 419 W. Walker St. Children’s Chest is open from 9 a.m. to noon on the third Saturday each month. For more information, contact Ann Heckart at FMUC, 254-559-8208.

• The Open Door at the 110 N. Live Oak. will host free GED classes 1 to 5 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday. The classes are free.
