Festival of Lights
The First Baptist Church will be having their annual Festival of Lights from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.on Wednesday, Oct. 31 in the Family LifeCenter. This event is for children through the sixth grade. Those putting on the event ask attendees to please not bring scary costumes or masks. A name will be drawn every 15 minutes beginning at 5:15 p.m. until 7:15 p.m. for a door prize. Please put your full name on the registration. You must be present to win if your name is drawn. A hot dog, chips, and drink will be served and you will need to get your ticket for this when you enter the door if you are planning to eat with us. Please have your registration form filled out before you get there to help speed the entry to the entry to the Festival. Hope you can come to join us for a night of fun.

4th Annual Canyon Road Barn and Grill Costume Party
The Canyon Road Barn and Grill will be hosting its 4th annual adult costume party from 10 p.m. to close on Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Canyon Road Barn and Grill located at 5790 FM 3418 in Breckenridge, Texas. Full dress entertainment provided by Dean Seltzer and the Redneck Mothers. No Cover with Cash prizes for best dressed. Come on out for the food, and stay for the fun. Toys for Tots kicks off
As everyone knows this time of year, the United States Marine Corp does toy collection for Toys for Tots (TFT). The Marines have been doing this since 1991. Our local chapter is run by Breckenridge Marine Doug Beaty. TFT has collection boxes out at the following locations: Walmart at 3800 W. Walker, Gebo’s at 2900 W. Walker, Dollar General at 3215 W. Walker, Ernie’s at 2915 W. Walker, FNB at 101 E. Walker, VFW #7767 at 216 E. Williams, Tractor Supply at 3732 W. Walker, Hibbett Sports at 3732 W. Walker, Higgingbotham’s at 2900 W. All Angel Trees that do not get taken will be provided for by Toys for Tots.

Holiday Trunk Show
Holiday Trunk Show hosted by the SMH Auxiliary 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday Nov. 8 and 9. Located across from the SMH entrance (Dr. Prater’s old office). There will be clothing, fall and Christmas decor. Great stocking stuffers and holiday gift ideas. Refreshments will be served. For more information call 254-559-3363.
