Breckenridge man killed in two-vehicle accident

A Breckenridge man was killed in a two-car accident Wednesday morning, after road conditions caused one of the vehicles to lose control, according to officials.

Jon David Woody, 60, was killed when another car lost control and crashed into him. This caused Woody’s vehicle, which was a 2000 Peterbilt Truck towing a flatbed trailer, to go off the roadway and roll over. Woody was not wearing his seatbelt when the accident occurred and was ejected from the vehicle, according to an official report from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The accident occurred on Interstate Highway 20. The other vehicle in the accident, a 2018 Dodge Ram pickup, was traveling east, while Woody was traveling west. The crash is currently under investigation, according to the report.
