The Breckenridge Buckaroos are on the board for district after a dominating win over the Early Longhorns.

In a 35-14 blowout, the Bucks continued offensive momentum from last week’s shootout, while the defense kept the Longhorns from consistently picking up first downs and scoring.

The first half of the game was shaky for the Bucks. A halftime score of 9-7 in favor of the Bucks was marred by a litany of penalties by the referees. This slowed the game down, while both angering and confusing the coaching staff, the players and the Bucks crowd. The second half was much cleaner, and this was where the Bucks took the game over, outscoring Early 26-7.

The win snaps a five-game losing streak for the Bucks and brings their season total to 3-5, and 1-2 in district. The Bucks will travel to Wall this upcoming Friday, who is 5-2 overall and 3-0 in district, after beating Eastland 41-21 last Friday.
