Board members are expected to share their perspective, background, experience, knowledge and insights as they relate to matters before the Board and its committees. All board members have voting rights,” the policies state.
Three new directors are elected each year, with each director encouraged to submit one nomination each year. According to the board’s policies and responsibilities, board members are elected to serve a three-year term in October, and begin their duties Jan. 1 the following year. Attending monthly meetings is required, with three consecutive absences considered a resignation. Meetings are held at noon on the last Wednesday of each month, and last approximately one and a half hours.
Board membership can require approximately three to five hours each month, with those elected as officers required to attend one extra meeting per month.
All applications are due by 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16. To submit a nomination, or to request an application, email ed@breckenridgetexas. com. Applications can be dropped off at the chamber offices at 100 E. Elm St.
