City Water Department discuss issue about paying bill

Customers who are attempting to pay their city water bill are having problems.

The Water Dept. has posted options on their door to explain why their doors are closed due to COVID.

Unfortunately, some customers have always paid their bills in cash. The water Dept. made a suggestion that may solve the problem by getting a money order for the amount and placing it a bill in an envelope and place in the lockbox.

Some customers question the security of the lockbox. When called about this matter, a Water Department employee said, “She wanted to re-assure any customers concerned about the security of the lockbox that it is highly secure and never been penetrated.”

Another option for cash customers is to place the exact amount, with their bill,

in an envelope and place in the secure lockbox and to trust the security of the lockbox.

Customers can always mail in their check to pay their water bill or can go online to www.breckenridge. gov and pay their bill online.
