The Stephens County Commissioners met Monday, May 26 and discussed several county contracts.
The county voted to approve the purchase of a new 2021 Chevrolet pickup, as requested by Sheriff Kevin Roach.
Sheriff Roach said a deputy had wrecked a vehicle, causing the department to be a vehicle short. The Stephens County Sheriff’s office is partnered with Buy Board, which is a procurement program. Two dealers were listed in the area and Stephens County Sheriff’s office was able to procure the truck at a discounted price.
