A fundraiser benefiting Breckenridge local, Lucy Whitmire, will be held Saturday, Nov. 19 at Lazy TK Ranch, located at 7823 CR 292 in Breckenridge.

All entries are due no later than Monday, Nov. 14. No on-site registration will be available.

Whitmire was involved in an agricultural incident Thursday, Sept. 15. The benefit is to aid in offsetting costs due to travel and physical therapy required during her recovery.

The Cowhand Challenge begins at 8 a.m. and events will include sale barn sort/trailer loading, ranch sorting and a speed penning obstacle. Participants will use the same horse for all events. Buckles will be awarded for three divisions including Open, Cowgirl, and Mixed (men and women).

Each four-person team will require a $200 entry fee that must be paid in advance as there are no on-site entries. Unlimited entries are allowed, but teams must change one participant each time. Winning teams will receive a 50% payback, with payouts depending on number of entries.

Concessions will be available and a silent auction will also be held. All proceeds and direct donations go directly to Whitmire.
