Wed, 11/07/2018 - 12:00 am

A Breckenridge woman was killed in a house fire Tuesday in what was described as an accident, officials said.

Jennifer Brown, 37, was killed in a fire that occurred around 2:40 a.m. Tuesday morning, Oct. 30. When fire officials arrived on the scene, the house had been fully engulfed in flames.

There were six people involved in the fire, including four children, two of which had been taken to the hospital and treated for minor smoke inhalation and feet burns. The children’s ages ranged from 12 to 18, according to a Facebook post from the fire department.

In response to the fire, a fund has been set up in the name of Sandy Brown to allow people to donate to the family.

“Numerous organizations have already been notified and have already responded to this family needs,” the Facebook post states. “If you would like to donate to the family please use the Sandy Brown Special Fund account that has been established at Innerbank.”
