August Pfluger, a Republican nominee, hosted a meet and greet for all citizens of Stephens County on Saturday, August 29. Pfluger is the running for Texas’ 11th Congressional District for the United States House of Representatives.

Pfluger answered questions from citizens inside the National Theatre from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. and is the second time in previous months that the candidate has hosted a meet and greet in Stephens County.

“My military service and my service at the highest levels of our government is what sets me apart from other candidates,” Pfluger said. “I understand how to write policy and I believe I can have an immediate impact in January.”

Pfluger has spent 20 years fighting for American values, first as a combat pilot in the United States Air Force, and then on the National Security Council for President Donald J. Trump. Pfluger has written policies for such things as agriculture and oil and gas for the President.

Congressional District 11 consists of 29 counties including Midland, Odessa, and Stephens County, and Pfluger believes he is the best candidate to push conservative values.

Pfluger received over 50 percent of the votes in Texas during the March primaries and will face Jon Mark Hogg (Democrat), Wacey Alpha Cody (Libertarian), and Jeffery Cady (Independent) in the November General election.
